Cub games are getting interactive
Posted by: Richie Rich in Drunken Fans, MLB Weirdness, Pitching
So at the Cub game last night, former White Sox pitchers (now in Cub uniforms) Scott Eyre and Bobby Howry went out of their way to make their former White Sox fans happy by giving up six runs to the Rockies, blowing a five-run Cub lead in the top of the ninth inning …
So of course, some Wrigley drunkard decided to try make Howry feel like he was back at the Cell …
That security guy did that drunkard a favor. One finger on Howry and that guy would have been made a semi-permanent fixture on the infield grass when the rest of the Cubs got there.
Stay in your seats, people. Or they’re gonna cut beer off earlier in the game.
Thanks to Bret for the YouTube tip … I could have done without that guy’s commentary during the clip.

Why doesn’t this guy just get a VCR…they’re like 10 bucks. Who seriously tapes off of your TV with a camcorder.
And speaking of drunks….Rosie cheeks like a Heineken? And what sports fan doesn’t know Lou Pinella? Write down a script or some notes or anything. On top of that, what kind of friend (the one who told him Pinella) just sits there while your buddy tapes the game with a camcorder?
By the way…Old Style may be cheap, but it’s not piss….unless your piss tastes like pure liquid heaven, but I wouldn’t know…………….Old Style – Pure brewed in God’s Country

It is a felony you retard. Its a new law idiot. Learn your shit before you make a dumb statement

Hey now- that title is a bit misleading. White Sox fans only go after people from the OTHER team- not our own! Please do not judge us though on a couple of drunken Alsipians!

Actually, no it’s not. Might want to take your own advice:
Kowalkoski was arrested and charged with illegal conduct within sports facilities, a misdemeanor. He spent the night in the Belmont District lockup and was released Tuesday morning, Capt. Dolores Deloughery said.
“Kowalkoski could not be reached for comment. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 26.
The misdemeanor charge is a new state law for which the White Sox lobbied extensively after two incidents involving trespassing fans at U.S. Cellular Field.
“I’m glad to see it on the books. We’re going to be seeing how hard the judge will hit him,” Cubs security chief Mike Hill said.”

An Elmwood Park man was taken into custody again Friday and faces more serious charges for running onto Wrigley Field toward relief pitcher Bob Howry during the ninth inning of Monday’s Cubs-Rockies game.
Brent Kowalkoski, 24, has been charged with one count of felony criminal trespass to a place of public amusement, said Chicago police officer Tom Polick. Kowalkoski remained in police custody Friday evening and was scheduled to attend a bond hearing Saturday, authorities said.
Kowalkoski was arrested Monday and charged with illegal conduct within sports facilities, a misdemeanor. He spent the night in the Belmont District lockup and was released Tuesday morning. The misdemeanor charge was the result of a new state law for which the White Sox lobbied extensively after two incidents involving trespassing fans at U.S. Cellular Field.
Howry had just surrendered a three-run home run to Troy Tulowitzki, giving the Rockies a 9-8 lead, when Kowalkoski vaulted the short wall that separates the seats from the playing field and approached Howry from the first-base line. Wrigley Field security guard Anton Migursky tackled Kowalkoski before he could get to the pitcher, and additional security removed him from the field.
Separately, a fan who ran onto Wrigley Field during a Cubs game June 1 was charged with the same felony Thursday, police said. Kevin Kleine, 22, of the 0-100 block of Thornfield Lane in Hawthorn Woods “ran out on the field because his friends paid him $400 to do it,” said Andy Conklin, spokesman for State’s Atty. Richard Devine.
Kleine previously had faced lesser charges of trespassing and possession of cannabis, Conklin said.
His bail was set at $20,000 Friday, Conklin said.

You didn’t tell me anything….my post was strictly related to the ORIGINAL charge. Not the one they charged him with later.
See….the tresspass wasn’t the original charge…..that I know is a felony. I was not arguing that.
He was just charged with illegal conduct within sports facilities……a misdeamenor. Your original post seemed to imply this was a felony. It is not.
That’s all i was saying.
