Home Run Derby

 Kali Speta!  Gyros Thursday is back for another edition and boy have we had a lot of things happen in baseball since last thursday.  This edition is going to be a smaller lunch version because Nick the Greek just got back from three days in Toronto.  There is no truth to the rumor that I had dinner with Vernie Three Sticks while up North.  I think you order is up so let’s get dinging.

Ding: He is still dead to me, but he deserves a special mention from the graveyard for his latest bout with stupidity (along with all the other Mets who joined him) by shaving his head to shake of his batting slump.  Of course the dumbass must believe this crap works because he is hitting .348 with two dingers over his last 6 games.  Nevertheless, he is still dead to me.

Ding: Justin Morneau must be pissed at the Greek for his constant bitching about him no deserving the MVP last year.  The dude breaks his nose on Saturday and then goes 5 for 13 with 2 HR, 5 R, 2 RBI his next three games. 

Ding: Newsflash….The Komodos Still Suck!!!

Ding: Another Newsflash….Shingu Takatsu not only blows saves…he blows at homerun derby.

Ding:  Your leftovers for the day.  Clint Barmes is has raised his AAA average to a sky-high .253 for the Sky Sox of Colorado Rapids.

Ding:  There has been an El Caballo siting.  Carlos Lee has hit 3 HR in his last 6 games.  It is one of the reason that the 300 Spartans has made a bit of a move up the chart to get a small whiff of the money.

And with that ding, I bid you all, Yasso!  I hope you all hit a homer today.
