Jersey(s) of the Week – Cubs Snuggies

So someone actually used the Jersey of the Week tip line and sent me a heads-up that there was a Snuggie Pub Crawl in Chicago sometime in April.
Wait a minute - there was a Snuggie Pub Crawl? And I wasn’t informed?
You know Snuggies – the blanket with sleeves – which have developed their own cult-like status among Americans.
Either way, I guess this Crawl meandered through all the bars I used to frequent on the North Side of Chicago. And as you might expect, there were some Snuggies which were devoted to the Chicago Cubs. But since you can’t buy MLB-themed Snuggies … they’re all homemade. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.
Here’s some pics of some Cubbie Snuggies.

See that guy in the pinstriped snuggie? Yeah, he’s the only guy wearing a Cubs Snuggie. Not as bad as that Cub fan wearing a women’s shirt back in training, but …

Production quality varied from person to person. But I probably didn’t need to tell you that.
The W Flag Necklaces are a nice touch.

Apparently … there’s a Billy Goat and a Cubby Bear which wear snuggies too.

That’s a different Cubby Bear mascot than the perverted one that’s always copping cheap feels around Wrigley on gamedays.

According to the following pics, the goat is quite the party animal.
Here the goat shows off his tail and gives a ride to some young ladies.

And what’s a Wrigleyville Pub Crawl without pictures of a bunch of the neighborhood’s other famous wildlife – drunken Lincoln Park Trixies?

Smile for the camera. Or at least ruin it for everybody else …

Curiously, MLB hasn’t teamed up with the Snuggie people … yet.
But I fear when that happens, we’ll get pink scratch and sniff snuggies.
