Porristas Mexicanas de Beisbol (Mexican Baseball Cheerleaders)
Posted by: Richie Rich in Cheerleaders, Minor Leagues, Porristas, Viva BeisbolHappy Cinco de Mayo!
Home Run Derby continues its celebration of the Mexican victory over French occupational forces in the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Anyone shocked that France was defeated in a battle?
And we’re gonna celebrate by showing you pictures of scantily clad cheerleaders (big shock that Home Run Derby would do something like that) who probably speak a different language than you do. Aren’t you the lucky ones?
Anyway, The LMB (Liga Mexicana de Beisbol) is a Triple-A Minor League affiliated with Major League Baseball. And they’ve been doing this Baseball Cheerleader thing for some time now. Which means they know what they’re doing - and they’re really good at it.
After the Jump are Five (again, Cinco equals Five) Cheerleading Squads I could find South of the Border …
Since Cinco de Mayo is all about a battle in Puebla, let’s start with The Puebla Parrots.
It doesn’t seem like the Parrots’ Cheerleading Squad has a nickname, so I’m just gonna dump some pictures.
Love the Boots.
The Mexico City Red Devils. Any Cheerleading squad called Las Diablitas Rojas is probably going to be worth it just on the basis of their nickname.
They apparently like the high leg kicks. And we’ve got video.
.
The Tigers, located in Cancun, are probably more famous for Chacho, their mascot. But even though there’s some video of their Porristas - I couldn’t embed it.
Quintana Roo has also outsourced their Cheerleaders to Sol - a beer very much like Corona.
.
Much like the Tigers of Quintana Roo, the Tijuana Broncos have outsourced their Cheerleading to modeling agencies and the Tecate Girls.
Mmmmm … Tecate.
MUCHO MAS PORRISTAS DE LOS POTROS de TIJUANA - AQUI !!
.
The Oaxaca Warriors have the Guerreritas (Warriorettes). Spanish words just sound better with “ita” on the end of them, don’t they? I’m not sure why.
They might be the best of the bunch - because they’re gamers - they don’t let a little rain get in the way of their routine.
.
Did you learn any Spanish Words today?
