We’ve mentioned it before … but I’ll say it again.  Home Run Derby’s favorite employees at a Major League Baseball Stadium have always been …

Beer Vendors.

Beer Vendors

You know - the Unsung Heroes of Baseball.  The guy that lets you stay in your seat during that crucial half-inning even though you’re dying of thirst.  Or because you have to buy because you just lost a round of “pass the cup.”  Or if you’re like me - you want someone to BRING you your $7.50 cup of watered-down beer.

So here’s to you … Beer Vendor Guy.  You’re like a US Postal Worker … except you always deliver something we want.

You know … sometimes you’re not sure which vendor is coming up the aisle.  You’ll never have that problem with this beer vendor from Jacobs Field (oh - wait … Progressive Field) in Cleveland.

He might be a little full of himself, though.

You won’t go broke pandering to the fans.  Watch as this vendor from old Busch Stadium in St. Louis does just that … while ripping on the visiting arch-rival Cub fans.

Priceless.

We’ve shown the Yankees’ YMCA Beer Vendor before in our trip to the upper deck at Yankee Stadium … but he’s still good enough to make a repeat appearance here.

And we’ve shown Wayne - the “Ice … Cold … Beeer” guy from the Toronto SkyDome (oh - wait … Rogers Centre) too.  But not this close before.

Simple and to the point.  Can’t go wrong there.  Which leads us to …

Cincinnati.  Apparently the Cincinnati Opera doesn’t pay this guy well enough.

Until I remembered that the Beer Vendors in Japan … well they’re all girls …

You know, MLB now has Cheerleaders.  Why can’t we get some young female beer vendors in the stands?  Hell, the Mermaids don’t do anything during most of the game … Florida could start this trend …  they might actually sell some tickets.

Just be sure to remember to tip your Vendor … otherwise no one will like you.  As this guy will tell you.  Apparently George W. Bush didn’t tip vendors at Texas Rangers games.

MMMMM ….. BeerWell Heck … Now I’m all thirsty.

Did I miss last call?

BallHype: hype it up!

I’ve seen that guy in Cincinnati! There used to be an opera guy in Detroit; I don’t know if he’s still around.
