Joe Buck can’t keep his Sox straight
Posted by: Richie Rich in 2007 MLB Playoffs, Announcers, Red Sox, White SoxSo last night, Joe Buck talked about how it was a great time to be a Masshole — I mean Boston Sports Fan.
What with the undefeated New England Patriots, the #2 ranked Boston College Eagles, the Boston Celtics’ new Dream Team, and of course … the White Sox in the World Series..
Wait a minute - what was that last one? White Sox? Let’s go to the video tape.
Gah. Inexcusable. This is FOX’s premiere baseball broadcaster and he calls the Red Sox … the White Sox?
Maybe I could understand the slip-up if Buck was broadcasting a Saturday afternoon regular season game featuring the White Sox. But not during the World freaking Series and not after you’ve just broadcast seven-plus innings (and eight straight games before that) featuring … the Red Sox.
Not to mention the fact that it was a prescripted cutaway with a fancy video and graphic package.
Good God - has this site become Joe Buck land or what?

Richie, I dare you to post something without Joe Buck’s voice in it.
You’re just hiding your man-love for Buck by doing this, aren’t you?

And they didn’t even bother to correct it. This has been the worst announcing of a World Series I can remember.
