Joe Buck called Chris Myers “Jub-Jub”

Remember last week, when Joe Buck told Conan O’Brien that he would say “Jub-Jub” during a World Series telecast for him after Conan offered to give $1,000 to Buck’s favorite charity?
It didn’t take Buck very long to do it.
In the the bottom of the third inning of Game One of the World Series between the Colorado Rockies and the Boston Red Sox … Joe Buck dropped the Jub …
“Our own little Jub-Jub, Chris Myers”
I hope Myers has some say about which charity that grand is gonna go. Because he’s going to be known around his radio show and the sports blogosphere as Jub-Jub for a while.
What surprises me is that Buck didn’t milk this thing. I would have kept the untold legions of Conan fans who were watching the World Series just to hear me say “Jub-Jub” dangling night after night. I’d save it until there was a blowout (like tonight) or when the Series was about to end. Think of the extra boost in ratings.
Instead, those Jub-Jub watchers are now gone. After a mere 3-plus innings of baseball.
And now I can go back to muting Joe Buck and the World Series play by play.

Hi….I’ve been promoting a band on MySpace, also a Conan fan…and came across this woman’s webpage…I wrote to NB and hope that Conan will get it, but maybe he’ll have a better chance of hearing about it from you…my name is Diane .. I live in NYC……I’m sure Conan will really get a kick out of this…
and…ps…my friend’s band is based in LA but oriinally from South Africa and dedicated to using their music in charitable causes…hope this gets thru…thx!
