Dick Vitale should stick to college hoops

So Dick Vitale, the overcaffeinated and bombastic NCAA basketball analyst for ESPN, recently made some predictions for the Major League Baseball playoffs a little while ago on ESPN Radio with Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic.
I wonder how those turned out?
Let’s hear what Dickie V had to say about the MLB playoffs and how his predictions held up …
If you couldn’t make it through Vitale’s postseason baseball fatwa, here’s what he predicted … in convenient bracket form.
Let’s see … Wow. That was bad news … Cubs, Phillies, Red Sox, Yankees in the first round with the Yankees beating the Phillies in the World Series. Picked only one (Red Sox over Angels) of seven series right.
Why? Why do they give this guy a voice outside the NCAA?
Why do they give him a microphone during the NCAA hoops season, anyway? He doesn’t need one.

Vitale probably shouldn’t be allowed on television anymore.

He should go into that cave that Mel Kiper hides in for the 9 months out of the year that he isn’t asked to analyze the NFL draft.

Dickie V is the only person who, after listening to him talk for 2 minutes, makes me want to quit smoking. And I don’t smoke.

He probably wasn’t the only one who had that bracket setup though. Not saying I’m particularly a fan of his, but this one example doesn’t prove he shouldn’t be making predicitons.

At least he didn’t pick Duke in the World Series, I’m sure he considered it.
