Can Freddy Sanchez hit a wiffle ball?

Recently, Construda found a sick wiffle ball pitcher over on the YouTubes.
When this guy throws, the ball dances all over the place before hitting the strike zone almost every time. I’d say it was unhittable.
Here’s the clip.
Videos like this always make me (and others) wonder if a Major League player would stand a chance against a guy who can hurl this kind of pitch. Especially a decent hitter, say one who has a bit of pedigree in the bigs.
Heck, let just dream about a league batting champion stepping inside the box against a wiffle baller. That would be sweet. I wonder what would happen …

Enter Freddy Sanchez of the Pittsburgh Pirates – the 2006 National League Batting Champion.
He’s a career .310 hitter in 3+ years in the bigs. And he took some swings against a pro Wiffle Ball pitcher.
Let’s go to the video …
From the looks of that clip, he struck out on three straight. He didn’t stand a chance. Score on for the wiffle ballers.
My guess is that this was done sometime around Spring Training in 2007.
The pitcher is Jim Balian, a pitcher who won the MVP of the USPPBA (The United States Perforated Plastic Baseball Association).

Jim balian is a god among men! I have the pleasure of striking out against him 4-5 times per year! Bring on the big guys…i want to see a-rod and big papi strike out against him on 3 pitches! (2 screwballs, and a riser…just a guess)
