The Cubs GoatThis is a sure sign that Cub fans are taking this 99 years without a World Series Championship thing a little too far.  Or they’ve crossed the line from praying for their beloved Cubbies to sacrificing animals for them a la Santeria.

Someone hung the carcass of a goat on the statue of Harry Caray outside Wrigley Field.

How this helps the Cubs win a World Championship, I have no idea.

Gruesome picture and a link to video after the jump …

Chicago’s Finest cut down a goat from the Harry Caray Statue

By the way, if you’re in Chicago and you see one of Chicago’s Finest, go thank them for everything that they do for the city.  Cutting down dead goats from statues is NOT in the Chicago Police recruiting brochures.

This curse of the Billy Goat thing has officially gone too far.

I’m not surprised that I haven’t seen anything about this in the local media in Chicago.  The Cubs would like to keep this kind of stuff quiet.  Any ballclub would.

This video of the Police removing the goat carcass will not play since the publisher disabled embedding.  However, you can just click the link and see it at Youtube.
