Home Run Derby

So yesterday at the Phillies-Rockies playoff game, the Phanatic did a little boxing.

Nice skit.  But I’m confused. 

The Phanatic knocked out a guy who looked a little like an old fat Rocky Balboa (the view from the cheap seats anyway) … is that supposed to signify the Phillies knocking out the Rockies?  Get it? 

But Rocky Balboa is kinda the unofficial symbol of the city of Philadelphia, what with five movies and that big statue at the top of the steps at that library/museum and all. 

So in essence, didn’t the Phanatic knock out Philly? 

Rockies in four.
