Eric Byrnes plays for Peanuts

Eric Byrnes of the DiamondbacksEric Byrnes is one of the most popular players on the Arizona Diamondbacks.  You’re about to see why.

This past Friday night (9/14), Byrnes was getting heckled by the Dodger Stadium faithful.  For some reason or another, one of the hecklers threw a bag of peanuts at Byrnes. 

Maybe he was hoping Byrnes would sign the bag for him, a la Vernon Wells …

Instead, Byrnes just went over, picked it up, and put the bag of peanuts in his pocket.  He even shoos away the grounds crew member who’s going to remove them.

Give a whole new sense of playing for peanuts.
