A lot of people have accused Yankee fans as being a lot of different things.
Loud. Smug. Obnoxious. Carpetbagging Bandwagoners. Intolerant. Evil. Baby-Haters.
Wait. What was that last one?
Two guys (Angels fans?) claim to have video proof that Yankee fans are being Baby-Haters.
Watch as they claim a Yankee Fan is trying to shake her baby to death at a recent Yankee-Angels Game.
Whoa. I’m not sure that kid is enjoying that ride.
I’m not sure that the drunken guys doing the commentary are the most reliable experts on Shaken Baby Syndrome (considering that they can’t figure out what day it is), so let’s go to the source. From the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome …
Shaken baby syndrome, which may result in severe brain trauma, is caused when a child is violently shaken such that the head is subjected to back and forth motion in one or more directions resulting in rapid repeated severe acceleration and deceleration of the head.
Activities involving an infant or a child such as tossing in the air [or] bouncing on the knee … do not cause the brain, bone, and eye injuries characteristic of shaken baby syndrome.
Okay, so it seems as though this lady might not really be killing her baby. But the kid sure doesn’t seem to be enjoying the ride.
She’d probably scar the kid more if she dressed it up in one of these …
