Even worse than Miller's goof was Morgan later in that game on a pop-up that Luis Castillo caught but struggled with because of the wind. The brilliant Morgan said it was because Castillo had spent his whole career in the AL and was unfamiliar with how pop-ups react to the wind at Wrigley. Um...Joe...Castillo was a Marlin for 9 YEARS, so he played in Wrigley once or twice (including the 2003 NLCS...a painful memory for us Cub fans that were there for Game 6...still not over it). Joe Morgan is an idiot.

Miller has always been a solid announcer. He knows so much about the game and, unlike Morgan, knows when to shut the hell up. I guess all the time he's spent around Joe is beginning to wear on his mental capabilities. As for Joe's next slip-up, I'm betting Miller introduces Derrek Lee as Lee Smith.
